What is JetBackup 5?

JetBackup 5 is a robust backup solution integrated into cPanel that allows users to easily manage backups and restores of their website data. It supports files, databases, emails, and more—all from a user-friendly interface.

  1. Log in to cPanel via your hosting URL.
  2. Under the Files section, click on the JetBackup 5 icon.

  1. Go to Available Backups or Restore & Download.
  2. Locate and select the backup you’d like to restore.
  3. Choose what you want to restore:
    • ✅ Home Directory (all website files)
    • ✅ Databases
    • ✅ Email Accounts
    • ✅ Specific Files/Folders
  4. Click Restore, confirm your selection, and wait for the process to finish.

  1. Go to “Home Directory” or “Full Account Backups”
  2. Click on the option that contains the files you want to download.
  3. You’ll see a list of available backups sorted by date.
  4. Locate the backup from the date you need.
  5. Click “Download” next to the backup.
  6. Wait for the process to complete — it might take a few minutes depending on the file size.
  7. Once complete the process, Go to “Download” tab left side of the menu.
  8. Click Download to save the file to your local computer.

  1. Access JetBackup 5 in your cPanel dashboard.
  2. Click Available Backups.
  3. Find your database backup, then click Restore.
  4. Confirm and wait for JetBackup to restore your database.
