Steps to Setup MX Record in cPanel
Section titled “Steps to Setup MX Record in cPanel”1. Log into cPanel
Section titled “1. Log into cPanel”- Open your web browser and go to your cPanel login page. Enter your username and password to access your cPanel dashboard.
2. Find the Zone Editor
Section titled “2. Find the Zone Editor”- In the cPanel dashboard, scroll down to the Domains section and click on Zone Editor. This is where you can manage DNS settings, including MX records.
3. Select Your Domain
Section titled “3. Select Your Domain”- In the Zone Editor, find your domain from the list. Click Manage next to the domain where you want to set up the MX record.
4. Add a New MX Record
Section titled “4. Add a New MX Record”- Click on the + MX Record button. This will open a form to add your new MX record.
5. Enter MX Record Details
Section titled “5. Enter MX Record Details”-
In the form, enter the Priority and Destination values provided by your email provider.
- Priority: Lower numbers indicate higher priority.
- Destination: The mail server address (e.g., mail.example.com).

Once you’ve entered the information, click Save Record.
6. Verify the MX Record
Section titled “6. Verify the MX Record”- After saving, verify the MX record is listed correctly under the DNS records for your domain.
