How to Install WordPress Using Softaculous?

Here’s a step-by-step guide to install WordPress using Softaculous in cPanel:

  1. Go to your cPanel login page (often like yourdomain.com/cpanel).
  2. Enter your cPanel username and password to log in.

Step 2: Locate WordPress Manager by Softaculous

  1. In the cPanel Dashboard, find the Software section.

Click on Install to proceed to the WordPress installation.

  1. Choose Protocol: Select your website’s protocol (http://, https://, etc.). If you have an SSL certificate, choose https://.
  2. Choose Domain: Select the domain where you want to install WordPress.
  3. In Directory: Leave this blank if you want WordPress installed on the root of the domain (e.g., yourdomain.com). If you want it in a subdirectory (e.g., yourdomain.com/blog), enter the directory name.
  4. Set Username: Set secure username

  1. Site Name and Site Description: Enter your site’s name and description (you can change these later).
  2. Enable Multisite (optional): Check this if you need WordPress Multisite.
  1. Admin Username: Choose a username for logging in to your WordPress admin dashboard.
  2. Admin Password: Create a strong password.
  3. Admin Email: Enter a valid email address.
  1. Select your preferred language for WordPress.
  • Select Plugins: Softaculous may offer optional plugins for SEO, security, etc.
  • Select Theme: You can choose a WordPress theme here or change it later within WordPress.

Once installed, Softaculous will display links to access your new WordPress site and the WordPress admin area.

That’s it! You now have WordPress installed on your website through Softaculous in cPanel.
