cPanel Hosting Quick Start Guide

Welcome and thank you for choosing our cPanel Hosting service!
This guide will help you quickly get started with your hosting account so you can launch your website with ease.

Getting Started

Once you purchase a cPanel Hosting package, your account details will be available in your client Area under products & services. 👉 https://my.cloudexter.com

You will find:

  • Your cPanel login URL
  • Your username & password (We do not save password, you can reset it)
  • Your server IP address
  • Nameserver information

Accessing cPanel

To access your hosting control panel:

  1. Go to the cPanel URL provided in your welcome email (usually https://yourdomain.com:2083 or https://yourserverip:2083).
  2. Enter your cPanel username and password.
  3. Once logged in, you can manage files, emails, domains, databases, and more.

Pointing Your Domain (Name Servers)

For your website to load correctly, you need to point your domain to our name servers:

  1. Log in to your domain registrar’s control panel.
  2. Update the domain’s nameservers to the ones we provided.
    • Example:
      • ns1.yourhosting.com
      • ns2.yourhosting.com
  3. DNS changes may take up to 24–48 hours to fully propagate.

Uploading Website Files

To make your website live:

  1. Login to cPanel.
  2. Open the File Manager.
  3. Navigate to the public_html folder.
  4. Upload your website files here.

⚠️ Files outside the public_html folder will not be publicly accessible.

Setting Up Email Accounts

Create custom email addresses for your domain:

  1. In cPanel, go to Email Accounts under the Email section.
  2. Click Create.
  3. Choose your domain, enter the username, and set a password.
  4. Use Webmail or email clients like Outlook or Gmail to access emails.

Managing Your Website

With cPanel, you can:

  • Install WordPress via Softaculous.
  • Create and manage MySQL databases.
  • Add subdomains, redirects, and cron jobs.
  • Monitor your traffic with Awstats or Analog Stats.

Migrating from Another Host?
